Domingos Henrique has a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. His interests are in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, with a particular interest on how neurons are formed during embryonic life. On one side he is interested in understanding how embryonic stem cells acquire the potential to give rise to all the various cell types that are present in the body, and on the other side, he is fascinated about how neural progenitor cells are driven to produce the multitude of neuronal types that are present in the brain.
Domingos Henrique leads the Developmental Biology Unit at Instituto de Medicina Molecular in Lisbon.
